Please can you upgrade the Dropbox app so that it works natively on Apple Silicon Macs (M1) without Rosetta. Rosetta is not an option as it annihilates the battery. This may be a duplicate of the below idea however that started for ARM processors in general and you haven't looked at it in 6 years so starting an Apple specific idea in the hope you see it. https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-ideas/Desktop-app-with-syncing-for-devices-with-ARM-processors/idi-p/57554/page/18 There are also lots of comments on this thread to help support the case for demand: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-installs-integrations/Dropbox-Apple-Silicon-M1-install/td-p/500325Solved224KViews2016likes496CommentsBring back the green 'synced' checkmark in the system tray.
In my Windows system tray (next to the clock), Dropbox used to show that it was fully synced by showing a green check-mark over the Dropbox icon. This was really helpfull. If Dropbox was offline, it would show no overlay icon. Recently (and according to Dropbox itsself) this has changed, the Dropbox icon now shows no overlay if it is fully synced, but to me, i constantly think my Dropbox is offline, instead of 'fully synced'. So the idea is: please bring back the green 'fully synced' checkmark. Or -at least- make it an option to show it. Hello, recently I have been receiving warnings that say "Remove X from your Dropbox account and all devices? If you move this folder to X it won’t be available in Dropbox or on any devices." X are names of folder I’m simply moving in my computer, but not deleting in anyway, nor from Dropbox nor from my computer. At the bottom of the message, it says "cancel" or "move out of dropbox". What is all that and why it started appearing to me? BEST116KViews2likes13CommentsSyncing Dropbox folder to external hard drive - Mac
For many years I have worked between Mac computers at home and at the office using an external hard drive to sync my files, however I would like to change to a Dropbox folder instead, for convenience and security reasons. I would like to know if I can automatically sync a copy of my dropbox files to my external hard drive so I can still use it if I need to travel and there's no wifi to connect to dropbox. Thanks ASolved112KViews2likes4CommentsWon't stop indexing on Mac
I installed the mac dropbox update and the application began indexing my files. It has now been stuck for the last few days. I can only access some files. Many are now only available through dropbox.com and not in my app. If I add files to dropbox.com they are added to the indexing queue of the desktop app, but no progress is made regarding indexing.I've tried signing out, quitting, uninstalling, and reinstalling. I've seen similar threads, but no solutions have worked for me. Any help is much appreciated.Solved67KViews22likes384CommentsSync with a network drive

I fired my laptop up a couple of days ago and I noticed that the dropbox icon in the taskbar was missing. I checked task manager and dropbox is running theres just no icon and if I kill the task and double click on the dropbox exe it loads the app but does not show the Icon so I am unable to check my settings or anything else. Oddly enough it is still working fine on my main desktop. I have completely uninstalled dropbox and reinstalled a couple of times but there is no change to my issue. Also, when I launch the installer, after it has downloaded the dropbox files via the installer it doesn't actually launch the install process to let me input my user account or link my files but if I check task manager it shows that dropbox.exe is running. I am somewhat confused, can anyone help? I have checked my AV and no issues there but I would assume if it was something to do with AV it would stop the app from being loadedSolved45KViews4likes55CommentsDropbox fails to start with Windows 10
