I have several “unread” messages from Dropbox which when opened or marked as read the “2” displayed above the icon will not go away. The marked as read button does nothing and there appears to be no way to delete the messages ? Using app on new iPad Pro.Solved13KViews9likes64CommentsHow do YOU access Dropbox?
Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.5KViews6likes11CommentsLooking for feedback on how the mobile app preview experience can be improved
Hi my name is Aska and I'm a member of the mobile app team at Dropbox. I'm currently working on improving the previews experience in our mobile app and I would love to hear some customer feedback on any of the following: Are there certain actions or workflows that are difficult to access on this page? What are some things that you would like to do on this page? Are you able to easily identify your file when previewing it? Does the page provide enough information about your file? What is your experience when it comes to opening and closing a file? And anything else that comes to mind This would help me get a better understanding of any issues with the file preview experience on mobile and hopefully assist us in make some improvements to how you preview files on mobile in the future. So if you have any experience with previewing files on mobile, be it good, bad or indifferent, I'd really love to hear about it. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!2.4KViews4likes0CommentsI try to open a file with Dropbox on my tablet, and all I get is a horse!
A horse? That's how Dropbox tells you (apparently) that it can't open a file? With no words, no explanation? No options for fixing it? A horse--oh wait, it's not horse: it's a unicorn! Of course. Never mind.729Views1like3CommentsImage uploads - Suddenly capped at 400?
I work with several hundred image files at once. I’m using my iPad Pro which has plenty of storage. I went to upload 852 image files (something I have done regularly for years using the Dropbox app) to my Dropbox this morning and the app on the iPad is telling me that there’s a cap of only 400 images I can upload at a time. I am unable to find a way to bypass this. What this means for me is I will have to upload images in batches of 400 and then sort through them to make sure I didn’t duplicate any because the upload system in the app seems to have an overlap between what gets uploaded from the iPad and what shows up in the app. In other words, I am unable to select accurately what gets uploaded from the iPad and what does not so I risk losing files due to this cap. This has to be an error or a bug because I cannot possibly imagine a logical reason for capping uploads of images. Dropbox has never had this limit before. Can someone confirm this is happening for them on the iPad app and if so, anyway to get get around it?Solved3.4KViews1like10CommentsCan't add dropbox files from my iPad anymore
I have been using Dropbox for years and one of the feature I really like is the ability to import files directly from the Dropbox folder (on my iPad). For example, if a website is asking me for a copy of my passport, I would simply click on the upload, select the dropbox icon, and then choose the file I want to upload. But for the past couple of days this is not working anymore. It works fine on the laptop, but on the ipad I am getting this error (see screenshot below). I don't even know how to report this bug. Can anyone help? Is anyone facing the same issue?Solved1.5KViews1like3CommentsA Photographers question on Ai Image Analysis & Ai Data Collection,- Concent, Rights & Implicaions
As a photographer is use Dropbox to transmit, store and handle my files. lately when running a search for the word "FIRE", the search function returned multiple pictures from my archive with flames in them. Question 1: has my Photography Archive been subject to Ai image analysis? (which it obviously has been...) - what kind? - by what tools? and most importantly, where did i concent to any of it? (yes i read the 'Legal' page thoroughly) disclaimer: as an event photographer i am involved in all kinds of Private, Open & Deeply personal moments from peoples lives, i have an Etheic Moral and Legal duty to protect my clients, partners, models, childrens & friends privacy, dignity and basic right not to have their likeness and very life be used to feed some data set somewhere withiout their knowlege and concent. i use Generative Ai tools as part of my personal and professional creative research, i see the potential, but am also aware of the possible implications. Question 2: has my Phototography Archive (my body of work) been compromised, sold, copied or in any other way transfered to any third party without my concent? i think you get where im going with this.... am i doomed to have my stuff be fed to the Ai data machine by simply having it on the internet? i am only asking because i am already extremely doubtfull of my future as an Artist and Creative Professional. i love Dropbox a lot and use it all the time and recommend it to everyone, i really hope i don't soon grow to regret it... would love to hear your thoughts. ~T187.Solved2.7KViews1like4Comments
