Hi all, Iuse Dropbox daily and I love it.As a part of my current setup, I sync the entirety of my Dropbox folder to my Synology NAS device, in order to have all of my data available to me locally, through LAN (my laptop doesn't have enough disk space to allow for that), and to be able to copythe Dropbox data elsewhere to serve as a backup. Right now, I'm using Synology's official application - Cloud Sync - to retrievethe Dropbox data. I believe it works quite well (it has some drawbacks), but it would NEVERbe as reliable as an official app. Since the OS that powers Synology units - DSM - isLinux-based, I hope thissuggestions is not too much, as there's already an official Dropbox Linux client. Thanks!37KViews130likes31CommentsMigrate from Evernote to Dropbox Paper
Dropbox Paper is an ideal candidate to replace Evernote. Here's what would need to happen, I believe, for many folks to make the switch. In order of priority: Import Evernote (.enex) data (Dropbox Paper is perfect for this, because each Paper doc cancontains notes, attachments, and links like Evernote notes do.) Way better device apps, with killer features like scan to document. Dropbox's bulletproof sync and backup. (But if I can't get started by moving my data from Evernote to Dropbox Paper, then this is all moot!)27KViews75likes9CommentsI wish Dropbox could cast image and Pictures to Chrome Cast
Dropbox Cast image and Pictures to Chrome Cast - feature request I am super happy with my Dropbox license which is widely used on Android, iPad, and Windows 10 systems. However, I miss one feature: The ability to cast directly from Dropbox on Android and iOS systems. I'm aware that you can set up your Android device to mirror the screen of a Chrome Cast, but it's cumbersome, and not always very reliable. Often the connection is lost and you have to set up the Mirror again. If you are using an IOS device, mirroring of the screen is not possible. I realize that there are work around solutions that can be used, for example to use a browser and cast it, but it's not super functional. My wish, and probably millions of other Dropbox users, is therefore: Can we get: Chrome Cast - integrated directly into the Dropbox App - for Android and iOS devices ? ? ? It will certainly be a feature that will be widely used.43KViews62likes36CommentsSync Dropbox Paper tasks with Todoist and vice versa
I am a huge fan of Todoist and Dropbox Paper. I would like to know if and when it will be possible to sync tasks created in Dropbox Paper can be synced with other major todo/task apps like Todoist. So when you create a todo in Dropbox Paper it will be generated in Todoist. If completion dates are then assigned in Todoist or Dropbox Paper, these get synced. Is this something worth considering?12KViews60likes19CommentsSupport for collaborating in iWork apps
Does Dropbox support iWork collaboration, or have this on the roadmap? The last update on this that I could find in the forumssuggests that an iWork (Keynote, Pages, Paper) file that is being edited collaboratively must be saved in a non-shared folder. Thanks!8.7KViews46likes20CommentsWebpage clipping on Dropbox Paper?
Hi! Is there any plans to add webpage clipping to Dropbox Paper? I believe it's the most importante missing feature. I'm using it for some days and i really love the straighfoward funcionality and the focus on the content. The addition of webpage clipping (specially with the option for some kind of readability mode) will certain made the app even more incredible. Thanks! I reckon a lot of businesses use Dropbox as their preferred collaboration tool however they also have to get Office365 or Gsuite to host business email function. What if Dropbox could provide email as a service included with the business plan?8.5KViews31likes11Comments
