Hello! My Credit card was expired, and I cancelled the subscription the day it was supposed to renew, but still got charged. How can I request and receive a refund? I do not and have not used Dropbox for over a year (thought I cancelled it last year) so I am more than a little annoyed they still are trying to scive off $130 from me.13Views0likes2CommentsRefund not received after subscription cancellation (Ticket #24953311)
Hi everyone, In early April, I contacted Dropbox Support to cancel my paid subscription. On April 4th, I received confirmation via Ticket #24953311 that the cancellation and refund had been processed, and that the amount would be returned within 3 to 5 business days. However, more than a month has passed and I still haven’t received the refund. I tried reaching out again, but was redirected to an unmonitored inbox (Ticket #25009410), and haven’t received any response since. Has anyone in the community experienced a similar issue or knows how to actually get in touch with someone from the Dropbox team who can help? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or guidance!90Views0likes9CommentsHow can I be refunded? I can't seem to contact support.
I recently signed up for a free 30 day trial and cancelled my subscription back to basic before the 30 days elapsed. However my credit card was charged and seeking a refund. It does not appear easy to go through support or get in contact with anyone who can provide assistance. Any help is appreciated. Thanks17Views0likes1CommentBeing charged for an annual subscription, but I'm on the Basic plan. How can I cancel?
I am being charged 120 annual fee. When I go to cancel it says I have a free basic plan. When I look up the transaction id and cc based on other articles, the link does not work and won’t give me any results. I confirmed this is not a subscription through apple. I have spent hours now trying to cancel and been charged hundreds of dollars because of the friction to cancel. This cancellation flow seems to go against the FTCs click to cancel rules which require a way to cancel on any medium registered. The fact that I had to join a forum and make this post and there is no way to just log an issue and send an email is a huge barrier and this seems like an unfair consumer practice. Someone from Dropbox please reach out to me ASAP.16Views0likes2CommentsHow can I cancel/be refunded for a Dropbox account I can't access?
lo Dropbox Support Team, I am experiencing an issue with recurring charges from Dropbox that have been happening monthly for several years. Unfortunately, the email address associated with this subscription is no longer in use, and I am unable to access it. As a result, I cannot manage the subscription through my current account. Here are the details I can provide to help locate the account linked to these charges: • The email address associated with the subscription is no longer accessible. • The charges are recurring monthly payments. • I have payment details from my bank/credit card showing the charges. • The subscription has been active for several years. I would like to cancel the subscription immediately and stop any future charges. I would also like to request a refund for the charges that have been applied over the past months/years. Can you please assist me in resolving this issue and provide guidance on how to proceed? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please contact me. I saw a similar post to mine. I registered this new account so I can send this discussion, for urgent attention. I need an urgent action to my Refund request ( I logged ticket # 25147780 ). Basically , my free trial period was due to expire on 31 May 2025 (I received an email reminder on 25May). I noticed in my savings account a "pending" transaction fee of $306.90, so I cancelled my free trial on 27 May 2025 (I saved a screen print saying ""You've successfully cancelled your trial"). After cancelling the free trial, I deleted my account. Yesterday, 28 May 2025, I noticed I was billed $306.90 plus an international transaction fee $9.21 . Please action my refund request asap.60Views0likes2CommentsHow do I downgrade my Dropbox Essentials plan to the Dropbox Plus plan?
My 3TB plan has expired, and all I really need is 1TB - even less. It looks like 2TB is the lowest option after the free basic offering. How do I downgrade to a lower subscription option, as their is no 'change plan' option available, only renew, or 'cancel plan'? Many thanks.58Views0likes7CommentsI've been charged now for a second year in a row, how can I cancel my payment?
and can't work out which email was used. I have not used Dropbox either. My only guess is that it was linked to an old email but again I have no access. I am charged every Nov and need to cancel and would like to request a refund as it is clear I have not accessed. I did email months ago but go the outsourced service provider for Dropbox who then pointed me in another direction. Would just like to get it resolved36Views0likes1CommentI had cancelled my Dropbox plan, but I just realized they keep on charging me each month.
I had cancelled my Dropbox account in July of last year. I am not sure why Dropbox left my account open, but I never got any notifications whatsoever that they were continuing to charge my account $12.74 each month since then. Not even a monthly receipt. The only way I found out is because I got an email from Dropbox recently, after closing the credit card on file, saying my account has been downgraded. My useage history over the past year is confirmation that I have been dormant with no intentions of using a personal Dropbox account other than sharing photos for a one-time project. I use my corporate Dropbox account, so I had only opened this one for that one-time purpose. I reached out to Dropbox but never heard back. This pricing structure and refund policy feels predatory. Has anyone else had this experience? Thank you.44Views0likes3Comments
