I have installed the dropbox plugin form outlook and initially it was working fabulously. Now when i try to save an attachment to dropbox from outlook it keeps asking me to sign in then get a blank box. I cannot see any addin installed for dropbox or find anyway of doing this. This is very frustrating as it was a fabulous option to have and made the saving of attachments so easy but now it is very frustrating. I have tried re adding the plug in and done a repair on outlook but still does not work. The outlook is part of Office 365. Any suggestions??Solved1.8KViews0likes13CommentsGenerate a unique email address for "Email to Dropbox" based on usernames.
For Emailing to Dropbox, they use a 5 random-word list model... so something like: ecology.tastey.pillow.depth.example @addtodropbox.com There is a big problem with this... both for Dropbox and their users. It's a nightmare to use. Try telling a client that URL. Result: NONE USE. They should use a user generated model with tight guidelines. so Something like: DigitalMarketing1000@ or RickStark100@ Easy to Pick a winner - easy for the user to use. THAT is what we want. There is easily a million easy options for both users above. So why do they do it? This model is easy for the IT department - the computer geeks decided... not the marketing dept. / user advocates. If DB is looking for EASE OF USE for their CUSTOMERS... then go to the trouble of user created addresses. Their current model is EASY FOR THEM... but poo for the user. Let me ask you: Do these super-duper-really-long-multi-word-URLS-seem-very-usable-to-you dot question? Do they seem like they would be popular to users to you? If your answer is NO - then THAT is why adoption is low for emailing to dropbox and I and millions of others don't use it. Switch to a tougher (user-generated address), but better for the consumer, model. Go for usable... which is above functional. Thoughts? Support? I work on a Mac Studio (chip M2) with mac os x sonoma 14.4. All my documents are synchronized in dropbox and I use the desktop version of dropbox I have a problem for a few days now that prevents me from attaching documents to emails with Apple Mail When I attach a document, apple mail indicates "download", but the attachment is never in the message. Although the email starts, the person receiving it is unable to read the document because it appears corrupted and weighs 0 kb. If I use Outlook, the problem does not exist. If i use another computer with Apple Mail and Mac OS X Sonoma, the problem does not exist. If I forward an email with a received attachment, the problem does not exist. If I save a received attachement and then I send a new message with this attachement saved earlier on my Mac, the problem does not exist. When I get an e-mail with attachments and I want to save the attachments, I choose the synchronized folder and it seems to save the files. Then when the folder opens, it is empty. Thanks for any help4.8KViews1like22CommentsNo Dropbox files showing, when trying to attach them to my email on my iPhone 14

I have a MAC and my customer has a PC. She downloaded emails into dropbox from outlook, which I downloaded on my computer. The files would not open and asked what app to use to open. I chose outlook. Now, when clicking on the file, it opens an email with the file attached. When I click on the file it opens another email with a file attached. The actual emails uploaded into dropbox and downloaded onto my computer do not open.699Views0likes3Comments
