I'm trying to automatically send attachments from my Gmail account to my Dropbox account. I had the email address and verified it, there's a folder for email attachments in my Dropbox folder and I forwarded an email to the Dropbox email but I can't find it or the attachment anywhere. Someone told me I need a third-party app, but I doubt that and think I may have missed something simple. When you "share a folder" all users of that folder can see all of the other users email addresses. This is privacy issue. If I give 500 people the ability to "view" but not "edit" the folder, I don't want all these people to see the other people's email addresses. There is no reason for them to see them. There is no collaboration in the folder. I am just sharing it. So, to uphold someone's privacy the 500 other people that they don't know should not have the ability see other people's email addresses. There is no Dropbox plan, no option to hide email addresses among those that can only "view" the folder. This is a major privacy issue. Ideally, a simple switch should be put on the owner's dashboard (the person that is sharing the folder) to hide all email addresses so each person in the folder doesn't have the ability to see all the other peoples email addresses. All of a sudden, I am not receiving email notifications when somebody shares files to a file request link that I have sent them. I can't see anything in settings. Help. I am having an issue with approving requests to share folders. 1. At our business (a photolab) we share folders of images of processed films with the customer who brought the film in for processing. We share anything between 20 and 50 folders per week. 2. Sometimes a user will want to share their folder with a friend, and we end up receiving a request to share the folder to a new email address. 3. It used to be that we would receive a Notification from Dropbox (or an email with a link) requesting access. We would click the "Approve Access" button - job done! Or if we got an email, we would click the link and a browser page would open with a dialog box and an "Approve Access" button, and again, click that button and job done. 4. This all has appears to have changed... for the worse! Now, the Notification "Approve Access" button no longer works, and for the email, when we click on the link, there is no "Approve Access" button at all, and instead, there is a create link button. This is not what the customer is wanting. They are wanting us to grant access to the folder. 5. Now, what we have to do is mess around copying the email address from the body of the email (there is no option to copy the email from the dialog box) and then search for the applicable folder on our computer, right click click it, paste in the email address and click share. This is more a cumbersome process that is much more prone to human error than the previous one. 6. Is this yet another example of developers changing stuff just because they can? Hey, So this happened a while back, and I did find another topic, but I never saw a solution. Basically, I can't upload anything through my phone from Dropbox to gmail. Other stuff saved on my phone work fine, but not this, and it's annoying cause I either have to wait to get home to do it, or take screenshots and do it like that. A member who shares my files has an email address that is no longer valid. How do I remove it or how does she remove it? She shares the files through another email address which does work. Hello For al long time I use “sendtodropbox” to send emails to my dropbox. The mails appear in the map “Apps” and the submap “attachments”. Since a few days the mails I send come back as “undelivered mail returned to sender”. Now I activated the “email to dropbox” in my account where I got a new email address. Normally the mails should come in the map “email attachments”. Now the mails are not “returned to sender” but I can not see them in my dropbox. Can anyone help me? Hi, I would like to change my email address in my Basci Dropbox account. Do I still have access to the externally shared folders afterwards or does the external partner who shares files and folders with me have to give a new share to my new email again?
