iOS
44 TopicsThere's no login option on the Dropbox app for iPhone (just the option to create an account).
I have had a Dropbox account for years, and I recently downloaded the Dropbox app on my iphone 15, which I got to replace a previous iphone that I damaged beyond the ability to use. I am logged into Dropbox on my Mac and in my browser. When I went to log into the Dropbox app on my new phone, I was presented with an interface to create a new account, but not to log in. I went ahead and entered my email and password for my existing account in that interface, thinking it would provide me with a login interface once it recognized that an account with those credentials already exists. But it doesn't. So I can't find any way to use this app. What is the solution?926Views1like8CommentsDefault PDF viewer on iPad
Is there a way to change the default PDF viewer in the Dropbox App for the iPad? When I click on "Open in" in a PDF, it only shows the option of Adobe, but I use PDF Expert. (In contrast, on my Mac, when I double click on a PDF in my Dropbox folder, it automatically opens in PDF Expert). If I can't change the default PDF viewer to PDF Expert on the iPad, what is the easiest way to open a PDF from Dropbox in PDF Expert? (Of course I already know that I can start IN PDF Expert and open Dropbox files there from Dropbox, which I have linked to it; but this is for when I happen to have begun from the Dropbox iPad app instead.)30Views0likes1CommentDropbox keeps going back to the top of the folder when scrolling via VoiceOver on iOS 18.
I am a user who happens to be blind, using VoiceOver, the screen reader for my iPhone 15 Pro. I am using the latest version of dropbox updated six days ago as of October 14. When I am in a long list of files and I touch my screen, I am able to use the usual scrolling gestures. However, when I touch the screen again after scrolling several pages of a folder, focus is lost and jumps back to the first item in the folder, several screens up. This jumping of focus does not happen in other Apps on my phone, notably mail where I have 100 or so messages in my inbox. I am running iOS 18.0.1. I do hope this issue can be addressed and fixed because I use Dropbox a lot and love it! It is a major disruption of my workflow to have the focus jump around so much that I can barely locate a file that I need and when I find it, the focus may jump to a screen much farther up from the one I'm working on. Installed Paper app on new iPad and the Folders option won’t show up on dropdown menu when I try to create a new Folder. I can see my docs, but not the usual option to access Folders or Docs or All. Any insights?230Views0likes6CommentsDropbox stopped working on iPad, deleted and reinstalled, will not login.
On my iPad, I could not sign in to dropbox and use it as I have been for the last several years. I kept getting a spinning circle telling me it was trying to sign out. I close the app, then reopened it, same thing it would not log out so I could log back in again. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and now it will not allow me to log back in. It says my provided user information is not valid. I know I have the email and password correct I used it on another device. Any known issues?Solved519Views0likes8CommentsIt's confusing when removing and managing devices on the iOS app
I was trying to update my account and clean up old devices today, and the icons on the screen to manage devices on the iOS app are confusing. They look like they should be to drag things up and down, but in reality there’s a drawer to drag left or you can tap to unlink the device. It doesn’t really make any sense and is unintuitive.142Views0likes1CommentI only need one folder to be visible when accessing my mobile app.
Can’t figure out how to do this: I’d like *just ONE* specific folder from my Dropbox acct to be accessible on iPhone, however I don’t need the folder’s contents to physically be stored on iPhone…. Just Accessible. How would this be possible? Thanks!Solved239Views0likes1CommentCan't install the Dropbox app on my iPhone
I’m in complete agreement with you but I have a couple of issues. First I am not able to download the app to my phone. I can open it in the Apple Store. Second, I need to learn how to use Dropbox. Hopefully, I can figure out what I want to do and how to best use Dropbox. Thank you!506Views0likes1CommentSome folders are not appearing in the Dropbox app on the iPhone
I'm new to this community so I'm not sure if this is the right category. I have a big Dropbox account online and LOVE it. I have many folders that I backup there. I have a specific DB folder on my laptop that backs up automatically on the clod, and I have the DB app on my phone. I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max and have the IOS Version 18.0. My problem is that when I open the DB app on my phone, it doesn't have all the folders. Can anyone tell me how to get it set to access all my files from my phone? Thanks for your help in advance.
