Hi, I have an Essentials account through my other email [removed per Community Guidelines] and created this one to be able to post on here. I was logged out of my other account and when the prompt to comes saying it sent my 6-digit code, I never receive the email. Can you please help me to get back on to my account? Thank you70Views0likes8CommentsThere is a Dropbox Transfer on my account that I didn't send
I got an email that I sent a file transfer. I did not create this transfer nor the file. I got an email that I had recieved a file transfer from me. Again I did not send. No one else has access to my account. I did a "security check" and changed my password just in case. I am concerned that it looks like someone used my account to create a transfer64Views0likes14CommentsHow is Boxcryptor encryption included in plans and where is data stored?
Hey everybody, as Dropbox acquired Boxcryptor, i wanted to know what is the current landscape about encyrption and where it is stored aswell as GDPR. On a second note, does somebody have a pricing tabel for all the available plans?27Views0likes5CommentsI accidentally joined a Dropbox team and I can't leave it now or delete my account.
Hi, I was just invited to join a dropbox team. The invite was sent to the email address that I use for my personal info, etc. I thought nothing of it as I just thought we'd have a shared folder or something, but it turned out it pulled all my stored dropbox info into this team. As a result, I quickly tried to delete all my personal files. It's moved them all into the trash, but it's saying I don't have permission to permanently delete them. It's also not allowing me to delete my personal account or leave the team. What are my options here, all I want to do is delete all my old info - but I don't seem to have that option with whatever I try to do?28Views0likes3CommentsHow can I access my paid plan without the code sent to my inactive email address?
I had a Dropbox account that I paid for that was attached to a previous email address that I no longer have access to. When I try to login to that account, a code is sent to the email address I no longer have access to. Logging into the account to update the email address is not an option. Logging into the account to remove the 2 factor authentication is not an option. Any suggestions that don't involve cancelling my credit card so I'm not charged for this subscription anymore?39Views0likes8CommentsI don't see where I can use my 2FA backup codes to enter my Dropbox account.
I unknowingly lost access to the e-mail address I used years ago to sign up for Dropbox (a comcast.net domain)--when I realized this, I wrote down the Backup Codes and was going to change my e-mail address, however prior to that, I got a new phone and when I was logged out of my account, I cannot get back in to do that without the 2FA code, which obviously goes to the old e-mail address. This is an account that is 10+ years old and didn't initially have 2FA. I know my password and have the backup codes, but have not been able to find the place to enter the backup code to allow me to access my account and change the e-mail/add a phone backup. Any ideas where I can enter the codes?34Views0likes6CommentsDisable folder deletion in team space for team members
We have issues with users accidentally deleting entire folders, unfortunately this seems to happen on our larger teams that have a lot of data in their folders. This means a lot of down time waiting for help recovering the folders/files. We regularly train our users not to delete folders but it happens anyway. Our users need to be able to edit files, but there is no reason for them to be able to delete entire folders. Having a function to prevent users from being able to delete at the Folder level would prevent a lot of down time as well as having to escalate recovery to DropBox.256Views0likes4Comments
