Hello, I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.56KViews153likes190CommentsWhy was I charged by Formswift?
Anyone get scammed by formswift? Evidently they are tied to Dropbox somehow. I now have a charge of 37.00 on my debit card When I call the number then they want my bank account number or my debit card. Never even asked my name, address, or phone number. Anyone else?48KViews2likes22CommentsPersonal plans with more storage
Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB. Switching to a professional account is not an option, because: - I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account - a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1 Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).20KViews70likes93CommentsUnable to update payment information
I am on an annual subscription to dropbox. My payment was set up to automatically paid upon renew with my credit card. Since my last renewal my credit card was updated with a new expiration date. Dropbox declined my payment. While I tried countless times, I was unable to update my credit card information on their website. I had at least five chat sessions with sales (the only drobbox personel you can have live communication with) and they were totally unable and unequipped to provide any support. Technical support is only done through online requests. I deleted cookies and cleared my cache as suggested in the community help center with no success. I logged in using "incognito" on the Chrome browser as recommended, with no success. I submitted a formal tech support request and got a ticket#. I am waiting for a reply. It has only been a day. It is totally impossible to talk with anyone in technical support (no phone numbers except for sales) or to use the chat line to speak with a technician. There is no way to get in touch with anyone at drobox who can accept a payment if you are unable to update your payment information online. Like a monkey with a typewriter, I finally changed my payment option from Visa to Paypal. The transaction was processed immediately. Ironically, my Paypal account is linked to the same Visa credit card I was so frustratingly trying to use to make the payment. If you are having the same problem let dropbox know. Maybe they will make it easier to communicate with tech support when there is a problem.Solved19KViews7likes17CommentsDropbox India - Renewal Failed
Hello from India! Does anyone have a solution on how to renew Dropbox in India. As per the new RBI rule, any subscription based plan over Rs. 5000, needs to be registered with the bank first. I don't see Dropbox on any banks platform of approved providers and therefore unable to renew my company's account. I've tried with multiple cards and received this error message: Payment Failed! For Dropbox On Bank Credit Card. Reason: Non-compliant Recurring or Standing Instruction registered with Merchant. Use alternate source to pay the bill. For details, contact your merchant. Please help! Thanks.15KViews1like100CommentsI'd love to see a an individual quota add-on for plans.
10€/ month is a total no go for me. and by the way I do not need 1TB. at least not now. But give me 1/10 for 1/10 and I would sign up in a heartbeat. The argument that they lost money because people downgraded. In my view that just emphasize that the pricing scheme is wrong. Some people have bought in for 1TB because that is the only next step. That also indicates that some of the paying subscribers are paying for something the really do not need but had no other option. That is not a good way to treat your customers. Because this means that the second somebody else comes with a better offer. Your customers are gone. and unhappy customers doesn't come back. Even if you try lowering the price at that point then it will be too little too late. I like dropbox have been using it for a long time now. But I am looking for alternatives simply because my cloud storage requirement is more than the 13GB I have now. but way below 1TB. I would really like an option where I can increase storage and price gradually as I need it. Cloud storage is a competitive space. It is about trust, price, availability and features. Microsoft, Google and Apple are on their way. So Dropbox you need to be more competitive or offer other features that people want to pay for. Right now I only use dropbox because of sharing. And I struggle with limited space and 10€ a month is not an option. I have cloud space with the three companies mentioned, but non of them are good or trustworthy enough yet. Every new release they send out they are getting closer. They all have someting that Dropbox does not have. An eco-system around their cloud. Dropbox try with photos. Well I find that feature annoying because it use the limited space I have. and I already have my photos elsewhere. Dropbox you need to come up with something or I believe you will loose the upcoming battle. You have a lot of customers now because you where among the first. Well surprise first is not enough anymore.15KViews1like38CommentsFamily plan is too expensive for what it offers
While I would like to have the ability for my wife and I to share a combined account with our own individual logins - it's not worth the extra $80/year, almost doubling the cost for only a limited increase in features. If it came with double the storage I might consider it, but even then I'm not sure I need that much more storage at the moment. Please reconsider the pricing on the family plan as I will never upgrade at anywhere near that price. It makes more sense to just have 2 Plus accounts since it comes with the extra storage. With the amount of competition out there for similar cloud storage, it's getting more difficult to justify the cost of dropbox, so I was really expecting a minimal increase in price, if any at all versus the Plus plan I am currently paying for.13KViews21likes32CommentsSomething went wrong message when trying to pay for upgrade
I have been directed to seek your help paying for an upgrade on my account. I get the same error no matter what computer, or browser (even incognito). It allows me to enter all my payment info, but the black box is spinning and the submit button is grey and there is a pop-up that says 'Something went wrong. Please refresh.' I was direct here when the support request by email only allowed for cancellations or refunds, which seemed to mystify the person advising me via chat.13KViews4likes121Comments50% Off on Dropbox Plus
Hi there, I was going to upgrade to the Dropbox Plus plan on my mobile app and was given an option for 50% off on opting for the annual plan. However I went on my desktop to opt into this as I needed to download a few pictures/videos but now it's not offering the 50% if I pay for it annually. Is there a discount code I can utilize?12KViews0likes3Comments
