upgrades

Hello, I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.56KViews155likes190CommentsPersonal plans with more storage
Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB. Switching to a professional account is not an option, because: - I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account - a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1 Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).20KViews71likes93CommentsI'd love to see a an individual quota add-on for plans.
10€/ month is a total no go for me. and by the way I do not need 1TB. at least not now. But give me 1/10 for 1/10 and I would sign up in a heartbeat. The argument that they lost money because people downgraded. In my view that just emphasize that the pricing scheme is wrong. Some people have bought in for 1TB because that is the only next step. That also indicates that some of the paying subscribers are paying for something the really do not need but had no other option. That is not a good way to treat your customers. Because this means that the second somebody else comes with a better offer. Your customers are gone. and unhappy customers doesn't come back. Even if you try lowering the price at that point then it will be too little too late. I like dropbox have been using it for a long time now. But I am looking for alternatives simply because my cloud storage requirement is more than the 13GB I have now. but way below 1TB. I would really like an option where I can increase storage and price gradually as I need it. Cloud storage is a competitive space. It is about trust, price, availability and features. Microsoft, Google and Apple are on their way. So Dropbox you need to be more competitive or offer other features that people want to pay for. Right now I only use dropbox because of sharing. And I struggle with limited space and 10€ a month is not an option. I have cloud space with the three companies mentioned, but non of them are good or trustworthy enough yet. Every new release they send out they are getting closer. They all have someting that Dropbox does not have. An eco-system around their cloud. Dropbox try with photos. Well I find that feature annoying because it use the limited space I have. and I already have my photos elsewhere. Dropbox you need to come up with something or I believe you will loose the upcoming battle. You have a lot of customers now because you where among the first. Well surprise first is not enough anymore.15KViews1like38CommentsWe'd like to have a Dropbox Business plan with less than 5 licenses.
I agree. It's too expensive and the five user minimum is unreasonable. We are a three-person IT support team. We'd like to have a Dropbox for Business account so that we can remain intimately familiar with the features and speak intelligently when recommending services to our customers, but we don't want to pay for five users when we only have 3 (or possibly even two now).6.3KViews2likes11CommentsDropBox payment program specific to Brazil
Dear, due to popularity of Dropbox in Brazil, I would like to suggest that you think about a Dropbox payment program in the local currency. Tools like Apple´s icloud are already offering opportunities in reais (local currency). I wanted to suggest that Dropbox also had this option.3.9KViews15likes10CommentsImmediate Billing Re-run Button when a payment has failed.
I have noticed that if a bill has not run (i.e. payment missed), the only options available once a client has availed funds for the bill to be run again by the Dropbox billing system is (1) a "Renew now" option that basically forces the client to re-enter the very same credit card details already in the system (assuming the client is not intending to use a different card) and/or (2) to wait for the system to run the billing again, whenever that will be at some later stage that day or the next morning. This is rather inconvenient. I would strongly suggest that Dropbox keeps current with other entities of its size that simply offer the option to "re-run" payment on the existing card details on their system; thus further increasing clients user experience on the site/offering. Lastly, remember clients are in different countries that have currencies fluctuate differently in the exchange market against the US Dollar that Dropbox bill us on. For instance, today the R5,000.00 (i.e. five thousand South African Rands) I have availed to be sufficient for the current cycle of bill(s), may no longer be sufficient at a later stage should I opt to simply wait for the billing system to run by itself at a later stage (instead of the inconvenience of re-entering the same credit card details). I believe this is one of the reasons why other companies of Dropbox's size offer the ability/convenience to "re-run payment immediately" without having to re-enter the same credit card details.; companies such as Google Drive, etc.680Views0likes1CommentI'd like Dropbox to send my receipt via email once my personal plan renews
It would be great if Dropbox could send an email UPON renewal of the annual subscription along with the receipt of payment. I understand that Dropbox sends a notification one month in advance when the renewal is due but that is not helpful. Some of us get reimbursed for the subscription and have to check manually on the exact subscription renewal date to get the receipt. That means unless we set a reminder we'll miss the date (and thus the receipt and the reimbursement). I suppose there is a minimal additional cost for Dropbox if they send a notification on the email once the subscription is renewed and that would be very helpful.616Views0likes2Comments
