I was searching for how best to upload very large files (particularly without having to store them on the Dropbox main folder). I found this answer, which indicates that there's no way to do it without storing in the Dropbox folder. However, I also subsequently found that was incorrect. It appears to be possible to use the command-line client. I would have replied to the other thread, but it appears to be locked, so I'm opening this thread to share the information. After installing the client, I ran a command and it appears to be working: ``` dbxcli put /tmp/large-file ```1.9KViews0likes1CommentDo people back-up their Dropbox files?
Hi all, A recent cyber audit in our organisation recommended we back-up our entire Dropbox. We are an organisation of approx 50 employees. We use MFA for Dropbox access and use Dropbox exclusively for filing across the entire business. Does anyone else choose to back their Dropbox files up and why? The research I've done of Dropbox shows it to be pretty robust. I get a non-committal, politicians-style answer from the auditors, as to whether they think this is business essential or a nice-to-have, and am interested in what others opinions are. Thank you.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsQr code to upload photos
Maybe an idea would be to offer a qr code to upload pictures to a set drive drive. So like at a wedding the guests could scan the code and upload the photos they have took that day/evening. Then maybe within your dropbox you could team up with a photo printing company like FreePrints and get prints straight away quoit the need of downloading photos and uploading to their site Just an idea Chris13KViews4likes1Comment
