How can I download a video from Dropbox and then upload it to YouTube?
How do I download a video from dropbox onto my desktop to upload to Youtube?
- 7 years ago
Ok, this is the last way I can think to download a file:
1) Click on the "Share" button, then select "Create a link"
2) Then click "Copy link."
3) Now you will have something like
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1abcdefghijklmn/YOUR-FILE?dl=0
copied to your clipboard. Paste it into your web browser and change the last
...dl=0
to
...dl=1
then go to the web page. It should present you with a download screen.

To download any file from your Dropbox: find the file in your list of Files, click the More Options icon (the three dots), and select "Download."
Easy Peasy!

The problem is the format. The Dropbox version is not compatible

Hey Bob L, thanks for nudging us on this thread.
I'd be happy to help, I'll just need more info just so that I can have a better understanding of your concern. For example:
- Are you trying to download a file directly from the website?
- What is the extension of the file that you're trying to download?
- Are you getting any specific errors? If so, could you send me a screenshot (without any personal info)?
Any additional details you could share would be very helpful. Thanks!

I want to download the video from the dropbox to my computer. it's already been downloaded. but when I want to play it, it can't. it says "missing codec. This item was encoded in a format that's not supported. 0xc00d5212" Can anyone help me?

Hey ruainahumaira, thanks for nudging us on this thread.
I looked this up a bit, and it seems like the error you're seeing is a Windows Media Player related error. You can also look it up on the web, where you should also find a few ways to troubleshoot it.
If you have any other questions or issues, just give us a shout. Cheers!
