Hi Lusil ,
I played a bit with some instructions foudn online and I was able to solve the problem. I have written a small guide for RHEL 8.2 which can be found here. I believe that a similar approach could work also for Fedora 32 (one just need to make sure to be subscribed for the repositories containing nautilus-devel)
Have a great weekend!

Hey AndreaP88, welcome to the Dropbox Community.
I'd be more than happy to help. Could you just let me know how far along the desktop app is in regards to syncing?
Keep me posted!

Hi Lusil Thank you for your support!
Well, I have left the app to run for more than 1hour and I'm at 50MB of 400GB

Hi again Lusil, apologies for writing again.
I just wanted to mention that I have installed dropbox again, this time compiling the code from the source on RHEL 8 and, although it is a slightly different distribution, I get exactly the same problem that is: syncing status with no downloading.
Since it seems to download the files only just after the installation, maybe a direction to solve this problem revolves around dropbox daemon not being active after a reboot? I'm not a huge linux expert...- Lusil5 years agoDropbox Staff
