I can't delete files or drag them into my Dropbox account.
Hi all, I can no longer add files into my dropbox, I have plenty of storage. Also when I try to delete files it says "the operation cant be completed because you dont have permission to access some of the items" Its my dropbox and all worked perfectly fine a week ago. Any idea anyone

What do you see exactly when uploading files to your Dropbox account? Can you send me a screenshot of what happens?
Also, the files that you’re unable to delete, are they personal files or files shared with other users?
Are you having issues like this via different browsers?

Hi Nancy, nothing happens when I try to drag files in and I have tried from the web, to the drop box icon everything. And yes I share files with one user, I deleted her but I could still not delete files. When I try this comes up "the operation cant be completed because you dont have permission to access some of the items"
I added Nageela again since we need to be able to work but this is really not ideal. I can delete thing in the files but not the file itself. I can rename files as well. I can also drag in files in already excisting "mother files" But not drag in a "mother file" to the left column if you see what I mean. Its actually the left column that is the problem. I cant change anything there.

Thanks for sending more details, 08Media! When saying you’ve tried the Dropbox icon, you mean the desktop app on your computer, right? Can you clarify its syncing status and app version?
Also, the files that you’re sharing with Nageela, are they owned by her or are you the owner?
Can you send over a couple of screenshots of what you see when trying to delete them? It’d be helpful to have a visual, as well. Here’s how you can attach them here:
