Can I move the Dropbox installation folder to use the Dropbox Backup feature?

Evidently (according to Dropbox support person) Dropbox can only be installed on a computer's c: drive.  I want to install it on my d: drive where all my important files are so I can use Dropbox Back...

It is my understanding that in order to run Dropbox Backup, the desktop application needs to be installed on the same disk as the files you want to run Backup on.  The folder I want to use for Backup is not on my c: drive because my c: drive is an SSD and too small to hold the folder.
