Have you tried enabling hidden files to show on your computer and try again mikemohr?
What about searching for this file on dropbox.com?
- mikemohr2 years agoHelpful | Level 5I have enabled/looked through all hidden files on my local Dropbox folder as well as searching for “localized” on the Dropbox website and found nothing in either event. I’d be happy to try and share my screen if you have ideas.

Are you using Thunderbird as your mail provider by any chance, given the info from this thread?
Have you tried searching for the localized file in Finder directly on your whole machine?

i used thunderbird up until last summer, but no longer use it. i have had no luck searching for the ".localized" file on my machine.
