How can I move a table in Paper?

How can I move a table in Paper? I would like to drag it to a new location in document, but it does not seem to let me. I tried to add a new Table between existing images, but I could not do that either.

  • No problem.

There is no copy paste menu. You can just use your keyboard or browser menu (Edit menu on mine)

    Hey rc2

Thanks for getting in touch on the Dropbox Community!

Hmmm....:mouse_three_button: You could copy-paste the table to the new location and then delete it from where you had created it initially.

    When it comes to:

I tried to add a new Table between existing images, but I could not do that either.

I 'd like to find a workaround, would you mind giving mne some more details on what you'd like to do, so that I look it up?

    Thanks in advance!

    Warm regards,

I think my "hangup" is the UI of Paper. It only shows menues "as needed", making it confusing what my options are.

I assumed I could click between elements and insert an new element. I have since realized, I have to move the insert cursor at the end of preceeding element and press "return", then I can add a table or anything else.

There are things like "moving a row of photos up or down the column" that seem impossible. Instead, I seem to have to drag them individually. I'd rather be able to select the full row and drag to a new location.

It does get better with practice. I'm not so sure "Paper" is the right name though, without a "Pencil" tool. :)

Hi there, how to I copy an entire table if I wish to use this solution?  I would like to reorder my first and second table in a document and I can't figure out how to do this. Thanks in advance :)

        Hi Aileen

You would just cut and paste as suggested by Jane. Or copy-paste and then delete it where it was originally.
