How can I share a folder with someone that has a free account?
I want to share a dropbox folder with a friend. She does not have access to a laptop, only a phone. When she attempts to open the link in the mobile browser, she is forced to open the app. When opening the app, it says that as a free user, she does not have enough space and needs to pay.
Would be nice if she could upload to the link without the app.

Hey SeahorseUnicorn, thanks for reaching out to us.
It sounds like the folder you're trying to share with this person, is larger than their available space.
Shared folders take up space in each member's account, when they have edit permissions.
If you want to share a folder, without affecting their Dropbox space, you can share a "view-only" link with them instead.
Let me know if you have any questions.
