Shared Access
Dear Community,
A client of ours shared access with us to their folder, unfortunately, the folder is too big for our DropBox to open.
There must be an option for how we can access the folder without upgrading our plan. I don't know how they shared or granted us access, but maybe there is the option to add us as an employee in their dropbox, so we access their account instead of them sharing the folder with us.
Bottom line is, we need access to the folder without upgrading our Dropbox plan.
Appreciate every helpful response 🙂

If you only need view/download access, ask your client to send you a view-only shared link. You'll be able to view the files without affecting your account, but you won't have edit access.
If you need edit access then you'll either need to upgrade your account or, if they have a Business account, join their Business Team. Just know that if you join their Team account with your current account that you will be merging your account into theirs, effectively making them the owner of the account and granting them access to the files in your account. If you decide to join their Team, I'd suggest doing it with a new, empty account.
