Solved

After upgrading to 3TB, my account's quota seems to be less than before.

I received an email that my account was over the allotted space.

when entering my drop box account it said I was at 6.3 GB of allotted 2GB space.

After upgrading to a 3TB account i see 2.3 GB of actual data in my account

so my question is did I actually lose data?

  • Figured it out pretty quick!

it was a large folder which had be relegated to backup after a file corrupted.

Hi jeffereysteje and welcome to the Dropbox Community 😊. I’m so glad you were able to track down what was taking up your available space (nothing worse than a phantom file like that 😉).

On a separate note, I’m Theresa, one of the Community Managers here at Dropbox 👩‍💻. I’d love to hear how you use Dropbox in your daily life. If you’re open to sharing... I’m all ears 👂.

I’m always fascinated by different workflows, and who knows, you might inspire some tips we can share with others, or even spark ideas to pass along to our internal team 🤗.
