Can't access my Dropbox account to delete the backup that takes up space from it

Dropbox tried to backup my computer to a free account.  Needless to say I ran out of space.  I found and changed the option to backup.  I got a message about deleting my files.  It would have been fine to delete the backup but did not want to delete my shared files on Dropbox so I stopped.  Now can not even open my Dropbox account.  When I click open I get a spinning wheel that goes away but no Dropbox.

1) need to get back into my account

2) need to delete the backup files

 Thanks.

I am jumping in.  My backup is now off.  However, now I cannot even get my account to open to delete unneeded backup.  Just want to access my very limited normal shared files.  Help

I found the option to stop Dropbox from backing up my computer.  I was asked if I wanted to delete the files.  I was not sure if that meant just the backup files or all shared files as well so I stopped.  Now can not longer even get Dropbox to open.

    Hey Julie smd

As a first step, can you please send me a full screenshot of what you see exactly, when trying to access your Dropbox account?

    That’ll help me further assist.
