- 2 years agoI realized there was already a Dropbox folder in CloudStorage, so I deleted that and tried the install again. It worked, no crash. Everything working fine now. I know old Dropbox would warn and rename existing folders, this version crashes.

I was having this exact same issue and this solved it. Need to destroy the existing dropbox folder in cloudstorage. For those who don't know, it is found in user/username/library/cloudstorage - but note that the library folder for a user is hidden by default on Macs so you need to show all folders (command + shift + . (period)) to see it.
