Hi TrudyD1474, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It's possible that putting the display at a specific resolution or zoom could result in the Dropbox desktop application not appearing as it would normally.
Could you try using Ctrl+Click on the Dropbox icon in the system tray itself? This will get you to the preferences for the app.

Maybe i'm missing something fundamental.
Installed the new DBox version from the page. Can't see how to give u a version #.
Ctrl-Click brings up the image below.
Looks nothing like my Win 10 version. "..." brings up Options and Properties that don't show a mechanism to selectively sync as far as i can see.
Am i even vaguely in the right place?

What icon are you clicking on? You need to click on the Dropbox icon in your system tray on your taskbar (near the clock).
