Hi everyone,
We're testing out some changes in v182 (currently in beta) that should hopefully help with this. Let us know if you continue to run into problems.
Thanks

Hi Hannah, actually I've had no help at all except suggestions of what I should do to correct the problem and finally they've said I need to have the Microsoft people figure it out, even though they know that I had already done that and it isn't a Microsoft problem. So, after over a week of back and forth messaging with dropbox tech support, I've given up. If I can't get Dropbox installed on my new laptop then I have nowhere to turn but to find a dropbox alternative, which I am exceedingly sad about. I love using dropbox - it has been perfect for me for many years.
Thanks for checking back in - you folks on the first front of customer help are very responsive - but the tech people behind you don't seem to have a way to actually help.
