I'm trying to access Passwords from one of my 3 authorized devices, but get an error.
I have a Basic plan with 3 devices authorized. I am working from one of the 3 devices, and while logged in to Dropbox, it will not allow me to access Dropbox Passwords, saying I am already logged in to 3 devices. This is clearly an error, and I should not have to log out from one of my other devices to access. Can someone help?

Unfortunately, no change or improvement in solving the problem. I've rebooted my desktop, and am logged in again to Dropbox with full access to my files and folders. On Edge, when I try to open the Dropbox Passwords extension, I am asked to log in using my recovery words, which I no longer have, or to reset my account. On Chrome, when I try to open the Dropbox Passwords extension, I get the following, even though I am already on one of my three connected devices.
On my Android, the second of my three connected devices, having installed the Dropbox Passwords app, in opening the App it remains stuck on "Checking your status".
And on my iPad, my third connected device, in trying to open the Dropbox Passwords app, it says "Check your other devices for a notification. Let's make sure it's you and sync any passwords you already added. We'll finish setting up after we get your approval on Edge Windows or Samsung SM***". But I have not received any notification on either the desktop or the Android. At the bottom, it says "Not working? Try another option", by which I can choose resend notification (which doesn't work), use recovery words (not available), sign in with a different account (not applicable), or reset account, which I would prefer not to do.
And thus all my passwords stored on Dropbox Passwords are in limbo and inaccessible!

On Chrome, back to this error, again even though already logged in:

Hey JTF19!
Can you take a look at your account's connected devices and let me know how many you've currently connected to your account?
Also, if you navigate to the Dropbox Passwords preferences, how many devices do you see listed there? You can see more in regards to this in the relevant Help Center article.

Megan, my Dropbox account lists my three connected devices only, as I said. My desktop, my iPad, and my Android phone. It's the same list for Dropbox Password preferences, when I get as far as Dropbox Password saying it's sending a notification to one of the two other devices, which never arrives. I've now tried to access from each of the three devices, and none of the three successfully delivers a notification to either of the other two. Signing off for the night now, and a busy morning tomorrow, so will check in during the afternoon EDT.

Trying once again on my desktop to access Dropbox Passwords, it asks me to sign in to Dropbox, even though I am already signed in. And instead of asking for username and password, it again only asks for my recovery words.

I've now tried adding Dropbox Passwords App to my Android, one of my three devices. It says it has sent a notification to my other devices (an iPad and my desktop, the other two designated devices). No notification received on either of these other devices.

Megan, Thanks for resonding. To answer your questions, (1) No, this is the Dashlane Passwords extension, which I've tried both on Edge and directly on Chrome. This started today (afternoon, EDT), on Windows 11. And just now, trying again, instead of saying I'm connected to 3 devices, it asks me to log in to Dashlane itself using 12 recovery words, which I don't have. I'll be free again in 30 -45 minutes from now.

Hey JTF19 welcome to our Community!
Are you referring to the Passwords mobile app, right? If not, feel free to clarify more.
When did you first notice this behavior? If you could send me a screenshot of the error you're seeing I'd appreciate it, in order for me to have a visual too.
While you're at it, can you also let me know the OS you're using?
I'll be waiting for your updates!
