Mac: Recommended Settings for Dropbox M.2 Enclosure / External SSD?
Any advice to note down when using M.2 Enclosure / External SSD with Dropbox on a Mac?
And another question (#2): Should I disable Dropbox on startup especially when there are times when M.2 Enclosure / External SSD is removed to avoid Dropbox being confused?

Absolutely, 100%!
Storing your Dropbox folder on external/removable media is strongly NOT recommended. If you absolutely have to, you need to make sure that 1) the drive is connected and operational BEFORE Dropbox is launched and 2) the drive never becomes disconnected while Dropbox is running. If the Dropbox folder is not available when Dropbox launches or it goes missing while Dropbox is running, Dropbox could see it as a mass deletion and start to delete files from your account online.
