Storing MacBook system libraries in Dropbox

Does anyone have any experience with storing system storage folders (macbook) for your various installed apps (eg imessages or adobe creative cloud) in their dropbox? Will I completely mess up my macbook if I attempt to do this?! Asking because these folders quickly become huge!

Hey Danielle H.2, thanks for taking the time to post on the Dropbox Community.

To be honest, this is more up to you.

What the Dropbox application does, is to sync any files you manually add to the Dropbox folder to your Dropbox account and across your connected devices.

We also offer a backup feature for your computer's system folders, if you'd like to take a look.

Note: you might want to also keep an eye on the expected behavior of the new Dropbox for macOS version of the app for more info.

I will of course leave this thread open, so that any other users that might have experience with this, can share their thoughts.

    Cheers!
