The new stable version on Windows doesn't sync online-only.
Stable version refuses to sync online-only on a Microsoft Surface 7. OS Build 26100.3194.

When you mention that the app refuses to sync online-only, would you like to share some additional info with me?
Do you try to change your files from available offline to online-only using these steps, but it doesn't change? What is the app's current syncing status?

I've been working with Parker in support on this for a few weeks now. He suggested trying this latest stable build. I'm guessing it has something to do with the ARM64 architecture on this device.
To answer your question though... yes, I've tried every possible method of making files online only and it absolutely will not. I had to change to selective sync on this user for just the job critical folders, which is not ideal, but it's a band-aid for now. The app is currently "up to date" on sync status with all files 100% downloaded locally.
