How to deal with new Dropbox Paper files after migration and locate them?
I am so confused right now. Prior to the upgrade, I had created folders within Dropbox paper so all of my documents are in those folders. I can see those folders within the "Migrated Paper Docs" folder in Dropbox. But when I open the Paper website or the app on my phone, I can't see any of those folders. In theory, I can search for any document that's in those folders, but I want to be able to browse through the folders. I also tried moving the folders from the Migrated folder into the "Paper Docs" folder but nothing happened and I still couldn't see or browse through those folders.
On the Paper website, one can now create 'Sections' and move docs into Sections but I have no idea what the use of that is because after creating one, I can't see them within the App.
I have no idea what I am supposed to do now to organize this mess. This upgrade should have been seamless to users.

+1
have legacy paper files in a folder that I cant even 'see' anywhere let alone find it. I am trying to move these files in to the new paper folder on Db / root but it's not possible. for a few minutes I thought they had been lost (couldn't find them in Finder or the Website; but fortunately they were accessible via the iOS app !!); currently accessing them in browser via a message with the link I sent to myself
disaster !!

Hey spreiss and pedroknife, thanks for your feedback on this.
Just to be sure about what we're dealing with, did you recently migrate to the 2020 release of Paper?
Do you have a "Migrated Paper Docs" folder in your "all files" page? This should include all your Paper docs.

HiHannah thanks for getting back
i didn’t migrate anything also not 2020
yes there was a Migrated folder but that only contained old archived docs not the current ones.
I was only able to access these via the mobile app. Also using the FIND function wouldn’t find them.
ultimately I sent myself the links to the docs via the mobile app and after a tedious copy paste session / that doesn’t !! Carry over the comments / I was able to re create everythingyou guys did a terrible job with this transition. I’ve nenn using DB for +10 years and am mostly happy save a few glitches here and there / some due to OS changes / but this…this was bad. Sit. It doesn’t even merit an F for fail.

Hi Eric_B42, let's see what we can find about this together!
Would you be able to send me a couple of screenshots of what you described in regards to your Paper content online, and what you see locally on the app too?
Also, would you mind clarifying when the migration took place?
When you search for individual file names, what is the path that you see? Is it the same one that looks empty when you open it, and try to search for the files?
Keep me posted!

I woke up this morning and clicked on Dropbox.com to access Paper, only to be greeted with a screen saying there were no documents. After recovering from a panic attack, I was able to find them buried in a "migrated paper" folder on my Dropbox account. I am not sure how a huge business like Dropbox can make such a colossal error like this. You guys have heard of e-mail, right?!? Maybe a heads-up to your user base, which pays you for your service, would be a fundamental strategy to explore.
What is the strategy? As it is, navigating through the new "migrated" folder is painful and time-consuming, and the fact that there is still a Dropbox Paper page that is not connected to my files is frustrating and confusing. What is the point of all of this?
