Dropbox Basic Extra on top of bonus storage?
Hi, I just noticed there's a Dropbox Basic Extra plan with 50GB of storage. I already have 20GB on my basic plan because of referrals and other bonus storage. If I subscribe to the Basic Extra pl...

Just came on to ask the same question, having been offered the upgrade to the Basic Extra plan, thanks for your clear reply.
Follow-up: if I subsequently cancel my Basic Extra subscription, does it revert to my existing quota (I have 18GB) or would I lose that and go all the way down to 2GB?

ignore, I asked a new question here: what happens to bonus storage if cancel Basic Extra?

Been offered the upgrade to the Basic Extra subscription. I currently have 18GB storage from referrals etc.
I can see from the reply to Dropbox Basic Extra on top of bonus storage that the 50GB will be on top of this.
What happens to my current quota if I purchase a Basic Extra subscription then cancel it down the track? Does my storage revert to my current 18GB quota or down to 2GB?
thanks

Hey there Ben P.1, how are you today?
You get to keep your existing referrals space no matter how many times you choose to upgrade & downgrade your account.
The only thing that changes is the referral value. Dropbox Basic users earn 500 MB of free storage per referral, up to 16 GB.
If you have any questions, let me know!

Fab, thanks Megan.
Also as feedback since I figure you're market testing this: I've been waiting for a plan like this for, well, years. And years. I'm not prepared to pay near $200 a year for 2TB of storage I don't need, but I am prepared to pay $40 for 50GB. Sure the cost per GB is vastly more expensive, but that's still $150 more I'd be paying for something I don't need. I already have a paid online backup service, that's not what Dropbox is for me.
Edit: those are prices in Australian dollars not US 🙂
