Hi Moparblondie, when you say you were 'trying to figure this out for years', is this in a literal sense, or a figure of speech? The email itself is also showing the old Dropbox logo, and not the new one.
The last time we had a specific promotion that you're referring to was back in 2015/6.

Yes. It has been years. This is the first time I’ve been able to finally communicate with someone from Dropbox. Every time I tried to reach out, I received an auto response and would not be able to speak to anyone.

Thanks for the info. The promotional offer has long since expired, so it wouldn't be possible to apply it to any account now.

We do have a free referral program and there are numerous other promotions, though they generally do require the purchase of a new device or subscription to another service.
