Can't Change Email Address
I'm trying to change the email address for my account but something's not working right.
I went to Settings and clicked to edit email. From there I get a popup asking for the new email address, a field to confirm the new address, and my account password.
I've filled in the info and clicked the Update Email button and get a message saying, "You've been invited to a team, so sign up with the invite in your email."
The email I get is an invitation to join somebody else's business account!
I've tried several times and get the same results each time.
I also tried to send an email to Dropbox support but get fed into an endless loop of, Click here to talk to support, click one of these options which takes you to a bunch of articles with a link leading back to the first support page. I've been unable to find an email address or any way to actually contact Dropbox.

Please reply me to [email removed as per Community Guidelines]- MeganDropbox StaffHi ovolkov, let's see what we can find together on this!
From what I understand, you're trying to change your account's email address and that change doesn't go through. Am I correct on this?
If that's the case, have you maybe tried a different browser to see if the behavior there is the same?
Let me know.- Peter C.28New member | Level 2
I am having the same problem. I've followed the process to edit my email address many times on 3 different browsers without success. I just get the first of my email address boxes turn red and a red cross outside it. I no longer have access to the listed email address so please reply to my new address [removed]

- HannahDropbox StaffThere aren't really any benefits to having a free team vs. having two free personal accounts, but of course that's up to you!
Would you mind clarifying one thing, though?
You said in your first post that when you put in the info to update your email address, you get a message asking you to join a team you were invited to, which is not yours.
Do you know who this team belongs to? Is it possible to contact them and ask them to uninvite you? - Smart-MonkeyExplorer | Level 4
If nobody has experienced this issue, does someone have an email address for Dropbox support?
- HannahDropbox StaffHey Smart-Monkey, thanks for reaching out to us!
It sounds like you've either been invited to a Dropbox Business team or you're already a member of one.
Were you perhaps previously in a Dropbox Business team that was downgraded?
If you go to this page, what plan do you see for your account?
Keep me posted!- Smart-MonkeyExplorer | Level 4
Thanks for the quick response, Hannah!
I'm using the basic plan right now.I don't want to join another team, I just want to change the email associated with my account.
