What does it take to become eligible for File Provider on my Mac?
I don't understand why this isn't rolled out for all paying subscribers to Dropbox on Mac. I'm wondering if the lack of broad eligibility has anything to do with the fact that my offline files won't download to my drive so that they are accessible without having to individually download tens of thousands of files manually when I want to use them.
I am not sure I'm getting my money's worth when the product doesn't work as expected.
Hi MoLea, does your external drive meet these requirements?

Hey MoLea - thanks for posting on our Community and sharing your thoughts on this.
Could you please clarify what plan you're on at the moment and your device's exact OS version?
Also, approximately how many files are you syncing on your computer?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

Hi Walter,
I’m on the Dropbox Plus 2TB annual plan. I primarily use the product on two devices:
- A MacBook Pro M1 from 2020, running Sequoia 15.1
- A Macbook Pro 2.6Ghz 6-Core Intel Core i7 from 2019 running Sequoia 15.01
The M1 is my daily driver and the Core i7 is acting as a music server; and is the one I’d like to make sure has the files I want to sync from Dropbox.
Those music files to be synced number around 27,055 items (according to Finder and Get Info for the local folder)

One more thing, I’ve pointed Dropbox to an external drive to sync the files. It’s a Sandisk Extreme Portable 2TB drive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HN37XC1/?th=1
