I'm trying to access my dropbox account. I'm able to type in my user and password but it's asking for a 6 digit code that was sent to an email that doesn't exist anymore so I can't get the code.
Please help.

Hey legacygt777, sorry to hear about this.
When you say the email address doesn't exist anymore, can you clarify if you're able to re-create it perhaps?
Let us know and we'll take it from there.

Hey legacygt777, I would actually suggest that you open a private browsing/incognito window and go to this page to submit a help request directly to our support team, so they can assist you further.
Let us know once you receive your ticket number.

- I haven't used the Dropbox account in years.
- I have a working username & pw, apparently.
- The email address on-file with DB is inoperative, belongs to a non-existent domain.
- My logon attempt results in a Code sent to the inoperative email address.
- I see the following message, telling me to check my email for the code, which is an impossible to do, since the email has been inoperative for years.
- I need to update the DB account, to change the email address, et. al. How can I logon, since I can never learn the Code that is sent?
PS: I am NOT logged on to the inaccessible DB account as I type this. My other account, this one, works fine.
Thanks!

How long ago did you last log in TNSteve ? If its over 12 months ago the account data has gone: https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/email-about-inactive-account
Even if the account data has been wiped you would still get that screen asking for a PIN to log on if needed as Dropbox does recognise you had an account.
There is no way to log on without having the email to a valid email address (however, it isn't worth it if its over 12 months since last login): https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access

Thanks, Mark.
I'm fairly certain it's been more than 12 months since accessing that account, so it sounds like my only action is to abandon that account and create a new one, if needed, in the future. (Our non-profit has moved to google Drive, so we no longer use DB.)
If there was data on the inaccessible DB account, we haven't missed it!
