Joining dropbox for teams added all my files to my clients account.

Hi! My client tried to share a folder with me and accidentally sent me an invite to their team. I accepted the invite thinking I would get a shared file inside my personal business account. INSTEAD...

Hey Heather C.19, sorry to hear about that!

 

I definitely see where you're coming from. However, you should receive info, and prompts of what will happen to your Dropbox account, once you join the team invite.

 

In the meantime, I suggest that you contact the team's admin, and ask them to convert your account into a personal one.

Just FYI the information and prompts were very confusing. Why would I need a separate personal account if I already had one? The invite to a team looks very similar to the invite to a folder.
