We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service

I received the message "We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement." and have no idea why?

Hi there siskiyousurveying - thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It sounds like your sharing activity was banned due to a ToS violation.

If you'd like to have a further look into this internally, let us know and we'll reach out via email.

    Thanks!

Hello. Long time user from years back and am just on a basic plan.

I'm getting this message when I tried to recently share a folder: "We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement."

When I clicked to get more information there was a list of violations w/ different reasons but the above notification was not listed. I searched the forum and found others that had things resolved but only through support and no advice was given through the thread.

H Pyuria, I've merged you to this thread to keep similar queries together.

Are you trying to share a link to a folder, or sharing the folder directly to another user?

Do you have any content in those folders which could be a breach of the terms of service?

This will help me to assist further!

Hello! thanks for the quick reply. I didn't see anything that breaches any content related issues. I was trying to share the folder directly.
