What's new in Dropbox - 3rd Edition
Hi all,
Below are some updates to what's happening in Dropbox.
Dropbox Update for OS X
Available to all users that have “include me in early releases” (beta)
To make sure you always have the latest version of the desktop app, Dropbox Update is in use by 10% of our beta users running OS X 10.7 and later (this % will continue to ramp up).
Dropbox Update runs in the background and periodically checks if you’re running the version with the latest features and enhancements.
New and improved team folders
Available to Business users
We want to help you turn Dropbox into a home for all your company's content by giving your Business team new management capabilities. Learn more on our blog
If you have any feedback related to the updates above, feel free add them on the comments below.
Thank you,
Ed
- Fabio L.Experienced | Level 12So the "many improvements and fixes" in every build you're releasing are related to the Dropbox Update that checks for new versions to be sure that "you’re running the version with the latest features and enhancements"? And what happened so far? Magic?
Come on guys... all we want is some HONEST and PROFESSIONAL changelog, like all HONEST and PROFESSIONAL companies should release...- cgoesHelpful | Level 5Maybe they just don't know. If your development workflow consists of devs making changes in random places for no apparent reason, it's probably hard to make a changelog xD
- SwanCobbCollaborator | Level 10Agreed. I don't really know who else (competitor-wise) they are trying to protect trade secrets from. It is just hurting the end users that rely on our files to be available and don't want any hiccups or surprises because they changed something and we don't know it.
As for changes, I noticed the Dropbox system tray bubble for # of files changed is showing up now as a lower right slide notification now?
