21 TopicsI‘m on a family plan but Dropbox still asks me to upgrade my plan because I don’t have enough space
I‘m on a paid family plan (shared from by my parents) and now i can’t sync a few of my new files with the family storage, dropbox then tells me to upgrade my plan because i‘m out of storage space which is impossible since the family plan storage is huge and we‘re not even using a third of the storage space. Prior to upgrading to "plus" for 1 year, I had invited many friends and my storage was the maximum possible. Because I didn't need that much "2To", I didn't renew the plan and Dropbox penalized me by downgrading to 2Gb and advised me that I was overfull... I have been a Dropbox customer for over 10 years on the Pro plan. All functioning without problems. Installed a new computer and Dropbox asked me to relogin just now, which I did. I provided the correct login details. However now my Dropbox folders do not show anymore, and the account has suddenly become basic (i.e. 2GB instead of 3TB). I have however fully paid for the PRO version and it is not expired. Support options are not available to resolve this as I am now not a Pro user anymore according to Dropbox. You just get stuck in the Help Center website which does not help or resolve anything. In summary: Until a few hours ago everything worked fine and I was working on files in the cloud. Now all my data has disappeared, I cannot work and cannot get any meaningful support. Any suggestions would be more than welcome! I've been reading through some community posts, and a few people have said similar to the following: They have a free account, have storage of over 20GB, but Dropbox has messaged them to say the space will be reduced back to 2GB. Why is this? I don't want to go to the trouble of referring people to get more space, then have Dropbox message me and tell me the space will be removed. I have free Dropbox on my desktop which shows I have 34.59 MB of 2.75 GB available; However, on my iPhone app I have 4 more devices listed from many years ago and am told I am over the limit. I only want to have the 2 current devices on my app. When I click on the "Or remove some devices" button, I see a list of the old devices, but cannot click on them or delete them at all.
