19 Topics[Solved] Dropbox files don't show on Chrome
screenshot: http://imageshack.com/a/img673/257/kRrlLZ.png Dear anyone, I've been working with Dropbox for a while now and did this always using Chrome as browser. Untill today I've never had any issues with dropbox, but today I went to Dropbox in the browser (using Chrome) and everything, every file is gone. Not only the files, but everything doesn't show. No history, no links, no files, no nothing.. (see screenshot) When I open dropbox in Safari everything is how it is supposed to be. The thing is, I don't use Safari on a regular base so I really would like to use Chrome again. Hope someone know's the answer to my question! Thanks in advance, NickSolved33KViews1like28CommentsSafely Deleting Dropbox from One Computer without Affecting Others
I use my Dropbox account and its files on several computers. I’m giving one of the computers away, but want to wipe it beforehand. Therefore, I want to wipe all Dropbox access from the giveaway computer without affecting the master files themselves or access to them from any of the other computers. Thank you for a safe way to do this. —JohnSolved30KViews3likes5CommentsHow to re-enable the warning when I delete files on my Mac?
I just noticed a new feature on Dropbox (version 51.4.66) on my Mac - I deleted a folder inside my Dropbox folder (moved it to the trash) and I was presented with a dialog asking me if I wanted to delete the file just from the computer I was using, or from everywhere. There was a checkbox next to "Don't show this again". I checked that box, but on reflection I would like to see that warning when I delete files. So how can I re-enable that warning on my Mac?Solved10KViews1like15CommentsThe operation can’t be completed because “Folder name” needs to be downloaded.
I am on Mac OS Monterey running dropbox basic. When I try to delete a folder I get the error message 'The operation can’t be completed because “Folder name” needs to be downloaded.' Also my sync icons are not showing at all. If I add or delete files they the changes sync. If I create a folder it also syncs - but I cannot delete it from Finder. I can delete it online and the change sync to Finder. I have re-installed and also follow the advanced re-install https://help.dropbox.com/installs/advanced-reinstall I have followed the dropbox not syncing https://help.dropbox.com/sync/files-not-syncing and missing icons https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/View-download-and-export/Sync-icons-missing-in-the-Dropbox-folder-in-Finder/td-p/596014/page/2 I've been going round in circles with all the above - re-starting lots too. Any ideas what is going on? ThanksSolved10KViews0likes15CommentsUnable to delete the Dropbox folder from File Explorer, after uninstalling Dropbox desktop app
Hello I decided I no longer want to use Dropbox as my cloud storage service and in this process uninstalled Dropbox Desktop from my computer. But I don't seem to be able to. The folder changes it's icon, after uninstalling Dropbox Desktop (from the dropbox icon to a standard folder icon), but I'm not able to delete the folder or move it. Also, when I copy a file path from file explorer it keeps on adding the Dropbox extension (the main reason why I decided to quit my Dropbox membership), for example:C:\Users\USERNAME\Dropbox\My PC (A-CNDXXXXX)\Documents\Ex_Files_Data_Methods\exampledocument.docx instead of simply:C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Ex_Files_Data_Methods\exampledocument.docx I simply want to disconnect my device from Dropbox and get rid off any connection with Dropbox, without deleting any files from my computer or Dropbox online. Any help is much appreciated! Best regards BelaSolved3.9KViews0likes10CommentsCan't delete folder on my Mac called Dropbox

I thought it was a full backup, not the actual folder. I see all the files (580GB) on Dropbox online. Can I download the whole lot in one go? Are they safe or will Dropbox delete them forever? Every so often Dropbox updates itself, which is good, mostly. It also makes a log of its updates, which is good, mostly. Unfortunately, I now have 1,994 old update logs on my C: drive, dating back to 24-07-2020, and every time I use a malware scanner every one of these logs is summoned to give evidence, which is not good, all the time. I am able to trim the rubbish on other software collections, but Dropbox insists that only the owner can delete its logs, and won't tell me which entity is the owner. FWIW, I've used Dropbox far longer than 4 years, and I was able to delete all logs dated prior to 24-07-2020 with no noticeable untoward catastrophes happening. I would like to not only save time on the malware scans, but also put the 82.5 megabytes to better use. Maybe we only need the last 5 logs as a fall-back measure? So, who is the "owner"? And, would taking ownership of 1,900 old logs injure the Dropbox install?Solved1.3KViews0likes7Comments
