Dropbox Paper
56 TopicsCan I merge cells in a row in a table in PAPER? And additional formatting questions!!!
Hi all, I am just starting to use PAPER (and loving it). I'm looking for some formatting tips that I can't find the answers for online. For example: I'd like to merge cells in a row in a table, is there a way to do that? Can I customize the font sizes within a document? Can I italicize and underline text? OK, many thanks, DEVILLESSolved18KViews13likes19CommentsDropbox Paper no longer functions in dark mode
Dark Mode suddenly (this week) no longer works (Mac OS Desktop App across 2 machines, mac ventura and mac monterey). Left sidebar with list is dark. Writing / Note area is white. ("on", "off", "auto" settings have no effect ... it's always white bg). Blocks which used to show tools are now just black bars in the app - I can click them but the tool icons are no longer visible. I've written Dropbox support and received a ticket number and response which was entirely irrelevant. (they told me to "use a different browser" ... except that I'm not using a browser, I'm using the desktop app.) Any help appreciated.786Views2likes1CommentMaking Notes in Paper and password-protecting them
Taking notes and password protect some of them. I'm looking for an app that I can make notes and password protect some of them. I'm trying to migrate from an app called "StyleNote Pro" With which I can take notes about things like "Health", " Movies", "Restaurants" and "Sign-On Information" and "Museums". I can list "Museums" and then have "sub-notes with info about each museum. I want to be able to password protect the "Sign-On Information" but not info about "Museums". I found "Paper" and thought that might do it. But, after uploading lots of notes I discovered that I can't edit them on a mobile device. Does anyone know if Dropbox has something that would work or of any other app that would work?1.7KViews2likes1CommentMoving rows and columns in tables
Now it is impossible to move rows or columns in a table. The shortcut ctrl+shift+up/down does not work on tables for moving rows (it works on usual paragraphs). Actually a more standard shortcut is shift+alt+up/down (not sure why you have chosen ctrl instead of alt) -- I think it is better because ctrl is usually used for selection. The most important feature is moving rows. At least by using keyboard shortcut: ctrl+shift+up/down (or alt). Second priority is moving columns. At least by using keyboard shortcut: ctrl+shift+left/right (or alt). Alternatively using drag&drop (I personally like keyboard shortcuts).Solved9.9KViews2likes4CommentsThe new Dropbox Paper UI doesn't allow me to adjust the navigation column
So I use Dropbox paper EXTENSIVELY and the new upgrade is not working my way. I get that the Paper is now a part of the file system. I can browse the folder using a file exporer and double clicking will open the website. That way does not work for me. If I go to paper.dropbox.com my documents are almost (99,9% gone) gone and all of my folder structure is completely gone. There is one single document. If I click on that I see the document and a sidebar that contains my folders (along with the rest of dropbox - which is annoying, but apparantly the new way). What is REALLY annoying is that everytime I click on a document, the sidebare reposition content, and I can't see the real location without using the scroll bars. And I can't resize the the sidebar. This view is completely useless. I can't click through document because of this reloading and repositioning. And I am not mentioning the fact that it is also slow, because of the way it loads the documents and loads folder structures lazy. Is my Paper profile broken? Or is this the way it is supposed to work? If that is the way it is supposed to work, I am looking for a new platform.41Views1like5CommentsUnable to download Dropbox Paper Android - Was made for an older version of Android
Hi - I have a Fairphone 5 on Android 14 and I recently went to install Dropbox Paper, but the Play Store says that the app was made for an older version of Android and thus am unable to download it. I have tried joining the beta program to see if that changed things, but it did not. Is this a known issue? Is Dropbox releasing an update soon? How can I install Dropbox Paper?64Views1like5Comments
