I’m using the latest iOS 12 release, and the latest version of the Dropbox iOS app, on my iPhone X. I have over 7,000 photos on my iPhone; they are also synced to my iCloud. (The volume consists of pretty much every photo I’ve ever had on an iPhone, beginning with an iPhone 4S.) Having this number of photos on my iPhone has been making my iPhone quite sluggish. I tried using the Dropbox iOS app’s built-in feature to copy or move the photos to one of my Dropbox folders; but, on each attempt, the Dropbox iOS app hangs, after moving anywhere from few hundred to a couple of thousand photos. I then opened the iCloud app in Windows 10, intending to copy the photos en masse to Dropbox, then, once the move was confirmed, erase the photos from my iCloud. (I also tried this through accessing my iCloud via Google Chrome.) I can’t seem to select more than 1 photo at a time, in my iCloud photos area. As you can imagine, selecting over 7,000 photos, one at a time, is not feasible. Thank u VERY much, peeps, for any help with this! 🙂44KViews4likes3CommentsIf I delete photos from my camera folder on my phone will they stay in Dropfox Camera Uploads folder?

Hello, I have created a new folder "Camera upload Karla" where I want my wifes iPhone to automatically upload photos to. This seems not to be so easy, as Dropbox on a phone will only upload to "Camera Upload" folder. Is this correct? How can I make her iPhone upload automatically to the new folder? Hi there, I spend most of the day taking pictues with my IPhone and sending this photos to my drop box account, so I can access this photos from my computer for editing and posting on social media. However, If my IPhone screen looks (is set to lock after 1 minute of inactivity), dropbox stop uploading the pictues. Or, if I send the files and change to another the app, it also stop synching. So I have to keep unlocking my phone all the time and can't change app in order to get all the photos uploaded to my desktop folder. Is there aoption i can change anddropbox on my phone will keep synching even if the screen is locked or keep synching in background? It's really annoying and seem like a easy thing to fix. Thanks 😉Solved19KViews0likes17CommentsUsing Dropbox Camera Upload and Apple iCloud Photos
Hello, I have been using Dropbox automatic Camera Upload to backup photos that I take on my iPhone. I would also like to use Apple iCloud Photos to backup and syncronize my photos across multiple Apple devices. Once you take a photo with the iPhone the iCloud Photos functionality uploads the original photo and associated resolution to Apple iCloud. Once that upload of the original is complete, Apple stores a lower resolution version of the photo on the local iPhone in order to save space. I want to have the original (full resolution) version stored in Dropbox and not the lower resolution version. Can anyone help me understand whether Dropbox will store the original or the lower resolution photo file. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
