Why are photos being uploaded twice?
Hi there, I’m hoping someone can help me out as I can’t figure out why certain photos are being saved multiple times when I upload them. I upload from my iPhone and in my most recent upload, there were 27 photos in my camera roll that I uploaded and the total that ended up in the Dropbox folder was double that….. 54. It seems to be saving every photo as a png AND a jpg….? Please help. Thank you!
My Dropbox app stops after several minutes while uploading my photos from my iOS device.
Goodmorning, I recently started working with Dropbox again and want to upload all my pictures from my iPhone (iCloud) to my Dropbox. It’s about 125,000 photos and it’s not easy, as my app stops after several minutes. At first it started counting and now counting down as it uploads each photo/movie. But I have to open the app again; sometimes it is completely black and it has to start again and sometimes it resumes. Also the night mode stops after several minutes. I have tried if keeping my iPhone open forever works, but no. Also un-installed the app, closed my iPhone and furthermore rebooted it, re-installed the app. It started counting up again and fortunately (of course) all uploaded photos were available, but it still stops after several minutes. I am now at 72.000 and it is too time consuming. Any suggestions on what else I can do to keep the app working? Thanks!
I deleted photos from my desktop app and they also got deleted from the web. Can I recover them?
Hello, I think I have made a huge mistake. My knowledge of computers is limited. Is there anything I can do? Sometimes I use software on my computer that take a lot of memory. So I deleted a lot of data in order to make space. I thought I could delete files and photos from my computer and they still would be on dropbox. I understand now I was wrong. I did not look at these files and photos for a long time so I can not say exactly when it was all deleted but probably some time last year. I have had dropbox for many year. Is there anything I can do? I have a Plus account. Grateful for any help
I can't paste the screenshots I capture on Windows
For some reason I cannot pate the screenshots after I press "Print Screen". I have dropbox on my pc set to copy link when image is ready and then there is a pop up on the bottom right when I take a picture and it says "press ctrl+v to copy" BUT IT DOESN'T work at all!
Can't find photos I uploaded between 2015-2017
Good day, All - Between approximately 2015 and 2017, I uploaded about 75-100 photos from my Apple Photos folder on my MacBook Pro. I can't remember if I upIoaded them via the dropbox app or the website by browser. I signed into Dropbox today and I cannot find those photos. I know I did not delete them. How can I access these? TIA for any help you can give.
Force iOS Dropbox app to upload camera pictures in the background
You should find a way to force the iOS Dropbox app to upload camera pictures in the background regardless of whether or not the app is actually active. As it stands now, this function is hardly of any use whatsoever because in order for it to work, not only does the app have to be running (like in the background), but it also must be active! If I ever have to access the app, it’s generally only for less than a minute. But if I have photos on the phone that haven’t been uploaded to Dropbox, I have to sit there and wait with the app active until they all upload. If I further in the middle of the upload and switch to another app as the active one, then the remaining photos just won’t upload.Saving photos to my iPhone created a new Dropbox album. How can I prevent that?
Previously when I opened a photo in a dropbox file and used "Save image" it would save the photo to the All Photos album on my iphone. Recently the same process created a new album named Dropbox and saved it there. Is there a setting to prevent the creation of the new folder and just have the photo saved to my All Photos album as before? Thanks for any suggestions.
I'd like to be able to search for my screenshots and remove them from the Photos page.
There is no where for me to perform a search in my "Photo" section and select or edit out screenshots from being populated in my "Photos". Screenshots should be allowed to be chosen or not chosen to be backed up in the "Photos" folder if one wishes. Please consider some kind of solution to this as it causes unnecessary duplicate files. I'd appreciate it and thank you.My photos are missing from my account, how can I get them back?
Hello, I’ve had drop box for many years, the free version. Recently I’ve noticed photos that were there are now missing! Havnt been deleted or anything, but they are gone and were 110% there… absolutely distraught, drop box was the only back up for all these precious memories. There is no way to contact a human at drop box what do I do
When I move photos, a copy remains in the original folder, why?
Hi, I'm organizing my photos and am moving some photos to a new folder called "non-family". But they are also remaining in the original folder. Shouldn't they actually just move to the new folder? I'm not copying them, I'm using the "move" option. Thank you!
