downloaded video is choppy and laggy
After downloading the video is choppy and laggy. I tried it on my android phone, my laptop (browser: chrome , firefox) , and via the Laptop app. I tried viewing the clip in my phone , with vlc and the standard windows 10 media player. Since its a mov file i tried converting it to mp4 first which didnt work as well. if i open the dropbox link where the clips are uploaded they are not choppy. I dont know what to try anymore. Any ideas what is going on?Can't watch videos from my computer when uploaded from my phone to a shared folder.
I have a shared folder with my business partner that we upload videos of property walkthroughs in. We can watch these videos from our phone, but when we try to open them up a computer the audio will play but the screen is black. Is anybody else dealing with this issue and know what the fix is?
Improve Photos.dropbox.com performance
I love that Dropbox is platform agnostic. I don't want to rely on Google or Microsoft. But Photos.dropbox.com needs serious improvement or I will not be renewing my subscription next year. Photos is the #1 thing I store in Dropbox. Even ignoring how many more features Google Photos has, just loading in the photo grid in dropbox feels slow and unresponsive. If you could make it so that I could load in Dropbox photos and quickly get to a photo I know I have from a year or two ago, I would be happy. Could you do more caching of lower quality thumbnails? Maybe that is why scrolling feels so unresponsive. The count and dates of photos are clearly not cached or precomputed, because when I load the page, it takes a minute for the date scrollbar to fully load all the months I have photos from. Even if you could just do this for Camera Roll, that would be amazing.
My shared link video preview freezes on Chrome, but not Safari.
Hi Dropbox Community, I’m experiencing an issue with video playback on a Dropbox-shared link in Chrome. Here’s what’s happening: When I open the link in Chrome, the video plays but intermittently freezes in the middle. However, when I view the same video link in Safari, it plays smoothly without any interruptions. My internet connection is fast, so I don’t think it’s a connectivity issue. Is there a way to run the Dropbox app in the background on my iPhone?
Hey everyone, I just switched to an Android from an iPhone. I am facing a feature problem that I loved on my iPhone! Which is, if I open up an audio file from my dropbox app I can just do other stuff on my phone. On android however, it stops playing whenever I switch over to a different app. Is there a way to let it run in the background just like the iPhone? Thanks!
Navigation arrows for photos on the website and the mobile app
When displaying photos it would be nice to have better navigation arrows to move to the next or previous photo. There are navigation arrows above (and small) but it would be better to have them to the left and right of the current photo displayed. This convention is used many other places and is much more intuitive.
No sound on my videos when previewed on the Dropbox site, why?
Hello, My videos play sound and video 100%, but when I upload them to Dropbox, there's no video, only sound, but the file size and file type remains the same. This issue suddenly started, before that there was no problem. Please help me fix this. Thank you!
I can't access files shared with me by others via links
I have my own dropbox but independently, for work things, I been given access to files and folders in various other people's dropboxes recently but for some reason I get an error msg and can't access them. These are open files to everyone and it is not just one time / company - it's happening with courses I have paid for, with press media files that are available just generally, people who send me general links to files - I always get this error: Error Something went wrong. Don’t worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check ourStatus Pageto see if there is a known incident, ourhelp centreandforumsfor help, or go back tohome. I have checked the installer, checked my own dropbox syncs etc. My own files are fine and so I can't see the issue. It has happened without about 5 different companies giving me access - that I can't see the files - which are open to the general public if you have been sent the link. Well, I've using Dropbox as my webserver at the beginnings, but due to security Dropbox disable this function, but I suggest only allow a special folder can use HTML code with no scripting support, no dynamic function except plain HTML, this can save my cash hosting some webpages and make use of the Dropbox storage for some PDF files sharing.
