How to log into my account and where are my files?
I want to resolve this? I see two things. 1. How do I login to my account? It asked me to create a new account with my previous email on file so it can say there is already an account associated... 2. I want to locate deleted files or files that were inside my dropbox that were there some years ago. I did not erase them. I see they were not there were I had them. 3. Many ".photocompustate" photos have been deleted. What are they and should I restore them?
I am not sure if this is the right forum but here is the issue. I got an email tonight that said I deleted 2100+ files. The files are all the same ".photocompustate" is in every name. I can't open them like a normal file. Anyone know what these files might be? I don't know if I should restore them. TIA
If I rewind a folder, will a removed member regain access?
A user who should have not had access to a folder any more went in and deleted a bunch of files/folders within a core folder in my Dropbox. I am planning to use Rewind to restore folders so I can properly backup the data. I have already removed access to the root folder for the user who should no longer have had access. If I initiate a rewind of the folder, will the user gain access to the restored/rewinded files? It should not matter - as I will promptly remove access again - but I just want to plan accordingly and act rapidly if I need to. And to be clear - I know that if I do a "Restore" instead of a Rewind, that the person WILL be given access again. But it is my understanding that Rewind operates differently. Thank you!
