Error downloading folder through web client
I'm trying to download a large folder through the web client. After I click download I'm prompted to save a small file called unspecified.htm, which saves and then nothing else happens. I'm sure I've used this feature successfully before. Any idea what's happening? I've tried both download methods - click the folder and click download at the top, and right click. Slide show feature removed
Viewing a folder of photos as a slide show is a basic feature which was previously available in Dropbox but has been removed. In my view this is a fundamental capability. I would like to send a link to others to let them view files easily without clicking/swiping on every shot and without downloading all the files.I don't get it. How can I turn off the preview on the site?
Dropbox apparently introduced new functionality that forces a large preview window every time a file is selected. The vast majority of time this degrades my efficiency in using Dropbox. I seriously need advanced searching. Dropbox used to have these features (like search exact phrase) in 2015, but somehow removed them. So how can I do advanced searching in dropbox? DB website folder thumbnails - plain blue please - no photo collages
I HATE the new photo-collage folder thumbnails on the Dropbox website.👎👎👎👎👎 Not sure why anyone thought that was a good idea or why a content thumbnail is needed for a folder (especially since the photos that show up on the thumbnail aren't necessarily representative of the folder contents). The random photo jumble/collage makes it very hard to differentiate a folder from a file/image. Is there any way to change my folder thumbnails back to plain blue on the website? I would like to modify the names of some of the tags that were created by others and would also like to delete some that are not used. I do not see a way to do that anywhere. I know how to add or remove a tag from a file or folder but want to prevent having a list as mile long of tags that shared users will be creating. Also, if you misspell a tag name and want to correct it, you cannot do that adding to the issue. Is there a way to modify the list of tag names?
