Hi guys, today, probably after downloading and installing latest stable release a Dropbox, the context menu disappeared from Windows Explorer. Dropbox version:183.4.7058 Windows 10 version: 22H2 OS build 19045.3448 Unfortunately I am not sure, what version was installed prior to update. Any ideas to solve this? Was reading older posts of same issue and not sure how to proceed? Downgrade to older stable and disable updates for a while? Hi everyone, I'm using Dropbox (firmware n. 166.3.2831) on my gaming laptop running Windows 11. Everything run smoothly until some days ago, when Dropbox suddenly became very slow when clicking to open folder or file: it takes MANY seconds (10-15 seconds at least). This causes a huge slowdown in the user experience, I can't even work in these circumstances. Of course this is a problem related to the Dropbox folder only, local folders run as smooth as they should. How can I fix that? Thanks. EDIT: apparently there's a conflict between Dropbox and iCloud for Windows; deleting the latter, Dropbox app works.Solved9.2KViews4likes18CommentsI can't scroll through photos anymore?
I used to be able to: open my dropbox folder, click on a folder with pictures, double click a picture to have it appear full-size on my screen, then scroll through the rest of the pictures in that folder by hitting the cursor keys. Now, since the update, sometimes I can't scroll at all, or when I can, it will show pictures that have been moved to other folders, but not the current pictures that are in the current folder. This is a serious problem for me because I am constantly scrolling through new photos that we use for marketing. Windows File Explorer crashes every time I acess the Dropbox folder. It does not crash in any other folder. Here's a few more details... - I can access my Dropbox files from within my programs, like CorelDRAW and Adobe, but only for about 60 seconds, then the open or import dialog freezes. - This started about 5-6 weeks ago. - I uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox once, and booted my computer dozens of times. - My folder location is C:\Users\George\Dropbox - I can open that folder, but if I click on anything - a folder or file - Explorer freezes - This one is weird - anywhere within File Explorer the search quits as soon as I put the curser in the search box. Not just in the Dropbox folder, but in avery folder.Solved6.1KViews2likes11CommentsDropbox automatic pictures download from mobile phone when connecting phone to computer (Windows10)
Hello. Recently every time I connect my mobile phone to the computer it downloads my pictures automatically to Dropbox. Dropbox then tells me that I have no more space left and that it might stop. How can I set the Dropbox that it will not automatically download all my pictures? It takes long time to delete them and then the next time I connect my phone to the computer it happens again. It never used to happen and I have never asked for it. Thank you764Views1like1CommentSmart Sync Not Showing Up on Windows 11
Hi! I am on Windows 11 and have a Dropbox Business account. The Issue: I cannot see the option when I right click a file, to Smart Sync > Local or Online Only I do see this option on my MacBook Pro. I did see the option on my PC earlier this week, I do not see it now. In an effort to troubleshoot my issue, I just install and reinstall Dropbox app on the PC. The problem remains. The options I see when I right click a file are Dropbox > - Share - View in Dropbox - Copy Dropbox Link - Version History - Send with Dropbox History Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!Solved5.8KViews1like14Comments
