In my company, on most computers running Windows 10 Pro with Dropbox version 212.4.5767 and various Office packages, the blue badge does not appear when opening Word files. I haven’t been able to determine if the issue is caused by Windows, Office, or Dropbox. However, it affects most computers. Please help me find a solution to resolve this issue, as my colleagues actively use this feature. Thank you.135Views0likes22CommentsInDesign will freeze if we try to open files that are online-only
Please note that we have a Dropbox shared among multiple employees. Since yesterday, we've encountered the following issue: Whenever we try to open any files, such as InDesign or Photoshop files, through Dropbox that have a cloud status, the application freezes. To work around this, we need to right-click on the file in Dropbox, select "Save Offline," and then open it in InDesign through Dropbox. This problem did not occur before. If we don't save the file offline first in Dropbox, InDesign will freeze until we quit Dropbox, reopen it, save the file offline, and then open it again through Dropbox to work on it. For example, if we click on one of these items that has a transparent X to open files from Dropbox in InDesign, InDesign will freeze first like in img1: img1 second dropbox freeze also, for example if you right click on any dropbox file , no option to save the file offline or online .... like img2 : img2 the only solution is first to quit the dropbox then open it again when dropbox became like img3 : img3 thenmake the file you want to open through InDesign, Photoshop, or any other app available offline first. Then, you should be able to open it without any problems. Another problem we're encountering is with opening files from Dropbox in InDesign. The first time we open a file, it displays correctly with icons like in img3. However, the second time we open a file, it appears like img1, with the dark green icon missing and the cloud icon becoming a transparent X. To restore the correct display (like img3), we have to quit Dropbox and reopen it. Please address this issue as it affects multiple desktops and laptops used by six different users from various companies. Some of these users are on Windows 10, while others are on Windows 11. The problem started appearing yesterday.Solved6.9KViews3likes34CommentsError when trying to back up Dropbox to Goodsync after Windows 11 update

Initially Capture was working on a Windows 10 laptop, then I believe that the user attempted a reinstall of Capture without realizing it, and now the laptop is unable to run Capture: Javascript error "Uncaught Exception: Error: \\?\C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\dropboxcapture_90.0.5.0_x64_wkt425jdc3sga\app\resource...\apex.node is not a valid Win32 application." etc. immediately appears every time. I haven't been able to fix this despite rebooting, Capture - Repair and Reset, and multiple re-downloads, removals, and re-installs of Capture.Solved6.4KViews0likes14CommentsWindows 11 and Dropbox
Is there any reason not to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 with respect to Dropbox? Will it be seamless, or might I encounter problems with Dropbox after installing Windows 11? Anything I should be aware of about using Dropbox before I install Windows 11? Thanks.8.8KViews0likes19CommentsAfter the latest update, the Dropbox icon is always the first in the Windows taskbar
In Windows 10, after the latest Dropbox update to version 144.4.4491, the icon in the taskbar always takes the first place of the visible icons. As shown in the screenshot below. Even if I move it to another position ... ... after restarting the computer, it always reverts to being the first icon shown in the taskbar. 🤔 I noticed this behavior in all three computers at my disposal and only after updating to version 144.4.4491. In the past, after an update of Dropbox, the icon remained in the position I had chosen and did not claim to always be placed in the first position. Any suggestions? Has anyone noticed this phenomenon? Thank you very much in advance for your attention!😉Solved5.6KViews1like7CommentsI am getting a "Folder in use" error - can you help me?
This issue is related to the dropbox Desktop application/program. Using the windows File Exploroer to browse my Dropbox folder I attempt to change folder names I would get an error "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program, Close the folder or file and try again". This issue is the same for all Droxbox folders and only way to change the folder name is to logon to Dropbox on Google chrome and rename folders from there. Is there any way to correct this issue so I can go back to use Windows File Explorer to rename folders?Solved7.4KViews0likes5Comments
