I am trying to join a dropbox team that stores technical data for my employer. He has sent an invitation four different times now, and I still can't access the team. While the invitation pops up for me to join, when I try to join the team I get a blank page. Refreshing doesn't resolve the page, I've tried closing the browser and reopening the link, restarting my computer, and clearing all other app activity. If I open the link and reopen dropbox, it shows the invitation but does not add me to the team. I've tried logging out and logging back in, and that doesn't resolve the issue either. Hello! Long, long time Dropbox user, first time community poster. We noticed that a new "Team Paper Docs" folder appeared at the top level of our Dropbox team folder, in the middle of the night when nobody works. Looking at the forum, I'm guessing it's similar to the people who have seen "Migrated Paper Docs" folders appearing (like this post: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001017/unknown-folder-appearing-migrated-paper-docs/805075). None of our team uses Paper, but it's possible someone added a Paper file to a particular client folder in 2020/2021 but since deleted it. (the one folder inside "Team Paper Docs" DOES correlate to a project folder) In short, if this folder appearance is part of the long-standing Paper2020 update I've read about and this is normal, I would just like to confirm! While I'm not opposed to account password updates, I just want to ensure this isn't likely the result of a user's account being compromised or something. No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. I joined another Dropbox account for a project, and unshared after the project was over. This appeared to just permissions system, but now all my files and folders have been deleted. After looking at my payments, it appears my last monthly payment was refunded.
