Can't restore data from an old external device backup
When I look at DropBox with on the web, I can see that I have two external device backups named "Shared Data" and "Ventura ...".
When I look at the backups using the app, I can only see one device backup
With either of the backups, I can see no way of restoring them to a new machine. I do not have the original external device.
With the "Ventura ..." backup I can see the files and download them as there are only a handful of them and then can be zipped.
The "Shared Data" backup is 128GB with a considerable number of files and folders. It is therefore not feasible to navigate the complete structure, create the folder structure and then transfer the files in a folder and individual zips.
Help is appreciated.

Some individual files are too big to zip so the won't download.
The rest of the files are scattered across such a huge number of folders that this is technically unworkable.
There is also no way to determine which files are outstanding.
It. must be a use case that the reason for downloading a whole or portion of a backup is that a restore is required.
Looking at the Dropbox Backup Beta is that the 'Shared Data' backup is not listed. How can I fix this?

Hey CSantavy, thanks for joining our Community.
A way to go about this, if you don't have access to the original drive, is to download the files from our website.
I understand that it's a considerable amount of files, so I would suggest downloading them in batches instead.
I hope this helps a bit and if you have any questions, let us know.
