PDF Access on Dropbox

I am unable to easily open PDF files when they are in Dropbox but if I copy them onto my hard drive I can open them immediately.

When I open them on DB, I get an Adobe page with PDF's listed on it and a box saying "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." After a while the file appears on this page at the top of a list of previous PDFs I have tried to open on DB and and I can click on "share" which opens it.

This only started to happen recently and does not seem to apply to PDFs which I have opened previously on DB and can still do so.

Is there a way I can stop this and open all new PDFs straight away on DB?

Done! What happened is that the default browser in Windows setting was Internet Explore. Changed to Edge, I could open these files.

Thank you. Case closed, for me.

Hey BillSki, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please let us know some additional information?

For example, what is your computer's OS and the version and status of the Dropbox desktop app installed there?

Do you notice this happens with files that are online only or available offline files?

If you could also attach a screenshot of the error you get, we'd appreciate it.

Dear All, same issue here reported.

Adobe can not open some files and this is the error message. Copying the same file on desktop, it works.
